The vision started in 2012. The testing started in 2014. Then, 2015 struck the calendar. Fowl Feathers Hunt Club was born. The rest is history.
We strive to be set apart from the rest. We are a hunting club for the 21st century continuing to grow to be more effiecent and more successful afield. We have restructured the common thought of what a hunting club is by using technology to streamline our draws and provide harvest data since contract at every member's fingertips. We offer an unprecedented amount of properties to the membership for a very competitive rate. Actually, we are so competitive more than 1,000 people await for a membership opening.
Background
Our success afield is no secret. Hence, we post our live harvest totals up to the minute while in season. Our Flights Canceled tab in the upper right corner posts the harvest totals in real time when members are afield. Soon we will be offering our band data from harvested birds publicly.
We get tired of answering the same question every day. "How many birds did you shoot last season?" Fowl Feathers will not shy away from disclosing and will not exaggerate our harvest totals in order to obtain a membership. So, here it is. Fowl Feathers Hunt Club is a self-guided, private, progressive hunting and gun club organized around the interests of waterfowlers with integrity and sportsmanship sharing their passion.
Fowl Feathers Hunt Club was born to those that obsess over waterfowling. Our members are passionate hunters practicing their craft in all conditions that Mother Nature throws our way. Using a modern approach, we provide land access to the hardcore, do-it yourself waterfowler who needs no guide. Fowl Feathers Hunt Club members do not treat waterfowling as a hobby. It’s a way of life.
Our members have access to thousands of acres of esteemed property in Cook, Grundy, Lake, Lake County, IN, LaSalle, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, Will and Lake County, IN Counties allowing them to follow the birds and hunt multiple zones. In addition to the property that we currently have, FFHC is actively seeking access to property in DeKalb and Ogle Counties. We only hunt Regular Seasons in Illinois North and Central Zones along with Regular Season Indiana North Zone.
FFHC operates through the use of bylaws in conjunction with a Social Media and Code of Conduct Policies. FFHC governs the club and makes decisions regarding the club operations through a committee comprised of elected members of the club. The committee focuses on ensuring that high quality hunting opportunities are available to its members and their guests. The club is run by the members, for the members.
Membership is limited to ensure that every member that would like to hunt has an opportunity to hunt every day. FFHC uses a randomized draw for members to choose a location of their choice. The draw is conducted at least one day in advance to get members into their blinds and hunting, rather than sitting in a clubhouse wasting time. FFHC provides thirteen real time harvest data tracking, satellite imagery and global positioning system coordinates to every location, real time live snap shots of which locations are occupied and plenty more. As a member of FFHC, if the season is open and crops are harvested, you’re guaranteed a spot to hunt!
